Course Length: Full-day program (Approximately 7 to 8 hours).

Delivery Method: In-person / Onsite training.

Structure: Combined classroom theory (Basic Hazard Recognition) and hands-on practical equipment training (Harness fitting, anchor points, and ladders).

CPO Approved: Fully approved by the Chief Prevention Officer (CPO) of the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development.

Legal Standard: Compliant with Ontario Regulation 213/91 (Construction Projects) under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).

Mandatory Requirement: This certification is legally required for all construction workers in Ontario who use fall protection systems.

Identification: Participants must bring a valid government-issued photo ID.

Safety Gear (PPE): Proper footwear is mandatory (no sandals or open-toe shoes; steel-toe boots are highly recommended).

Optional: If you have your own inspected safety harness, you are welcome to bring it for the practical module.

Passing Grade: A minimum score of 75%-80% on the written evaluation and 100% on the practical harness test is required.

Wallet Card: Upon successful completion, participants receive an official Working at Heights certificate / wallet card.

Validity: The certification is valid for 3 years. To maintain compliance, workers must complete a Refresher Course every three years before their card expires.
